Dear readers,
Taking into account the most recent measures and recommendations taken by the Belgian Government related to the development of the covid-19 pandemic, UITP staff will be working from home until at least 3 April.
During this period, we will be fully digitally operational and we will do our best to remain active and useful for our European members as well as visible for our EU institutional partners! Our Europe team is currently working hard to set up an interim strategy to navigate across priorities and actions. Our objective is to keep informing you on all European ongoing dossiers and to prepare as much as possible our views and positions in order to be ready to contribute to the European debates and legislative procedures. Our Europe team remains also at your disposal for any question or any information you might require. In the first post of this newsletter, you will find the activities and tools UITP has launched to help its members face the situation and give them the opportunity to share good practices. We also joined forces with our fellow associations (IRU, Polis, EuroCities and CER) to issue an Open Letter to the European institutions calling for the ongoing support of our sector. We very much encourage you to keep yourselves safe. We are all very much looking forward to meeting you all very soon.
