Learn more about the expected focus of future research perspectives in the rail sector under the European Union’s Research and Innovation Framework Programme HORIZON EUROPE. 

The Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for the rail sector in Europe sets out how a new programme of technical and operational innovation will enable railways to significantly contribute to sustainable, modern and innovative mobility in Europe. It will take into account the needs of rail users, the economy and society, and protect natural resources and the environment. This will be an important basis for the European Master Plan for Rail, which paves the way for future work programmes for rail research in HORIZON EUROPE.
